What the NFL is doing to keep the games safe
A league official says the NFL’s rules for protecting its games have been put in place in order to prevent a repeat of the worst-case scenario, when someone takes a knife to a game and kills dozens of people.
The NFL’s head of safety, Kevin Minter, said Monday that while a knife could not be used in the current circumstances, he believes that any weapon that can be used to harm the game’s security is prohibited.
Minter said the league is in the process of creating a new security plan for all of its games and said that if it comes to a vote, he thinks it will be voted down.
That’s the only way that we can protect ourselves.””
We are going to try to make sure that our games are safe.
That’s the only way that we can protect ourselves.”
He said the NFL had no specific plans to restrict knives from being used in its stadiums.
The league also did not provide specifics about when a knife would be prohibited.
Minter said that the league had not considered banning knives in its facilities, including the locker rooms and suites.
We have to do it in a way that is safe, he said.
In the past, the NFL has faced a lot of criticism for not doing enough to protect its games from violence.
Last year, the league faced a backlash after it was revealed that a knife used in a crime in Miami was used by a person to take control of a knife.
That case is still under investigation, and Minter did not say whether it would result in any punishment for the NFL or its players.
On Monday, the city of Los Angeles announced that the city would be hosting a football game between the Chargers and Raiders on Aug. 8.
